Conservation Voluntours Project at Rainmaker

Mission Statement:

Voluntourism
Conservation Voluntours Project at Rainmaker Mountain is dedicated to providing global volunteers with the opportunity to participate in the conservation and protection efforts of the Fila Chonta  rain forest mountain range. Fostering unique intercultural experiences through the volunteer program and outreach community projects will result in a deep appreciation of the delicate ecosystem that is Rainmaker Mountain.

Objectives and Philosophy:

To raise understanding and responsiveness of the activities that are destroying the many forests through awareness programs and information found throughout the project and web site. To support the local community within the San Rafael Norte area by fostering outreach programs such as the school sponsorship program and the development of the health clinic through donations to The Rainmaker Foundation.
To allow global volunteers the opportunity to contribute their time, energy, and money by the Conservation Voluntours Project.
To develop reforestation programs using the reintroduction of native species to the area.
To enable people to experience at first hand the importance of the preservation of Rainmaker Mountain Rainforest and its surrounding community.
